Notwithstanding the preceding provisions, the Constitutional Council may also be composed of one or more members of the indigenous peoples recognized in Law No. 19,253, which establishes norms for the protection, promotion, and development of indigenous peoples and creates the National Corporation for Indigenous Development, in force as of the date of publication of this reform. The following special rules shall apply for these purposes:
1. Indigenous individuals who are citizens with the right to vote may declare their candidacies, and the general disqualifications, incompatibilities, and prohibitions for being a member of the Constitutional Council shall also apply to them. Candidacies must prove their status as members of an indigenous people by means of the corresponding certificate of indigenous status issued by the National Corporation for Indigenous Development.

Sin perjuicio de las normas precedentes, el Consejo Constitucional podrá estar integrado, además, por uno o más miembros de los pueblos originarios reconocidos en la ley N° 19.253, que establece normas sobre protección, fomento y desarrollo de los indígenas, y crea la Corporación Nacional de Desarrollo Indígena, vigente a la fecha de publicación de la presente reforma. II. To secure compliance with the decisions of the rural native indigenous jurisdiction, its authorities may request the support of the competent bodies of the State.
III. The State shall promote and strengthen rural native indigenous justice. The law of Jurisdictional Demarcation shall determine the mechanisms of coordination and cooperation between rural native indigenous jurisdiction and ordinary jurisdiction and agro-environmental jurisdiction and all the recognized constitutional jurisdictions. The lands that are taken over shall be given to rural native indigenous peoples, intercultural indigenous communities, Afro-Bolivian and rural communities, which do not possess them or have insufficient lands, in accordance with state policy concerned with the ecological and geographic realities, as well as the population, social, cultural and economic necessities.
