- English1. As a fundamental element in society, the family has the right to protection by society and the state and to the effective implementation of all the conditions needed to enable family members to achieve personal fulfilment.
2. In order to protect the family, the state is particularly charged with:
a) Promoting the social and economic independence of households;
b) Promoting the creation of, and guaranteeing access to, a national network of crèches and other social facilities designed to support the family, together with a policy for the elderly;
c) Cooperating with parents in relation to their children's education;
d) With respect for individual freedom, guaranteeing the right to family planning by promoting the information and access to the methods and means required therefore, and organising the legal and technical arrangements that make it possible to exercise motherhood and fatherhood with awareness;
e) Regulating assisted procreation in such a way as to safeguard the dignity of the human person;
f) Regulating taxes and social benefits in harmony with family costs;
g) After first consulting the associations that represent the family, defining and implementing a global and integrated family policy;
h) By concerting the various sectoral policies, promoting the reconciliation of work and family life. (Art. 67) - Portuguese1. A família, como elemento fundamental da sociedade, tem direito à protecção da sociedade e do Estado e à efectivação de todas as condições que permitam a realização pessoal dos seus membros.
2. Incumbe, designadamente, ao Estado para protecção da família:

b) Promover a criação e garantir o acesso a uma rede nacional de creches e de outros equipamentos sociais de apoio à família, bem como uma política de terceira idade;

- English1 In the fulfillment of its duties, the Confederation shall take account of the needs of families. It may support measures for the protection of families.
2 It may issue regulations on child allowances and operate a federal family allowances compensation fund.
3 It shall establish a maternity insurance scheme. It may also require persons who cannot benefit from that insurance to make contributions.
4 The Confederation may declare participation in a family allowances compensation fund and the maternity insurance scheme to be compulsory, either in general terms or for individual sections of the population, and make its subsidies dependent on appropriate subsidies being made by the Cantons. (Art. 116) - French1 Dans l’accomplissement de ses tâches, la Confédération prend en considération les besoins de la famille. Elle peut soutenir les mesures destinées à protéger la famille.
2 Elle peut légiférer sur les allocations familiales et gérer une caisse fédérale de compensation en matière d’allocations familiales.
3 Elle institue une assurance-maternité. Elle peut également soumettre à l’obligation de cotiser les personnes qui ne peuvent bénéficier des prestations d’assurance.

4 La Confederazione può dichiarare obbligatoria l’affiliazione a casse di compensazione familiari e all’assicurazione per la maternità, in generale o per singoli gruppi della popolazione, e subordinare le sue prestazioni ad adeguate prestazioni dei Cantoni. (Art. 116)

Marriage as the union of a woman and a man, the family, maternity, paternity and childhood shall be protected by the State.
A woman and a man, on reaching marriageable age, have the right to marry voluntarily and to create a family. Spouses have equal rights in marriage and family.
Parents or persons in loco parentis have the right and the duty to bring up their children, care for their health, development and education, prepare them for socially useful work, instil in them a culture of respect for the law and for the historical and national traditions of Belarus. ... Children are obliged to take care of and assist their parents and persons in loco parentis.
The state provides support for families with children, orphans and children left without parental care.
The state ensures the priority of raising children within the family. Children may be separated from their family against the will of their parents and other persons in loco parentis only based on a court order if the parents or other persons in loco parentis fail to fulfil their obligations.

Шлюб як саюз жанчыны і мужчыны, сям’я, мацярынства, бацькоўства і дзяцінства знаходзяцца пад абаронай дзяржавы.

Брак как союз женщины и мужчины, семья, материнство, отцовство и детство находятся под защитой государства.
Женщина и мужчина по достижении брачного возраста имеют право на добровольной основе вступить в брак и создать семью. Супруги имеют равные права в браке и семье.
Родители или лица, их заменяющие, имеют право и обязаны воспитывать детей, заботиться об их здоровье, развитии и обучении, готовить к общественно полезному труду, прививать культуру и уважение к законам, историческим и национальным традициям Беларуси. ... Дети обязаны заботиться о родителях, а также о лицах, их заменяющих, и оказывать им помощь.
Государство оказывает поддержку семьям с детьми, детям-сиротам и детям, оставшимся без попечения родителей.
Государство обеспечивает приоритет воспитания детей в семье. Дети могут быть отделены от своей семьи против воли родителей и других лиц, их заменяющих, только на основании решения суда, если родители или другие лица, их заменяющие, не выполняют своих обязанностей.

- English(1) Parenthood and the family are under the protection of the law. Special protection is guaranteed to children and adolescents.
(2) Pregnant women are guaranteed special care, protection in labour relations, and suitable work conditions.
(3) Children, whether born in or out of wedlock, enjoy equal rights.
(4) It is the parents' right to care for and raise their children; children have the right to upbringing and care from their parents. Parental rights may be limited and minor children may be removed from their parents' custody against the latters' will only by the decision of a court on the basis of the law.
(5) Parents who are raising children have the right to assistance from the state.
(6) Detailed provisions shall be set by law. (Charter, Art. 32) - Czech(1) Rodičovství a rodina jsou pod ochranou zákona. Zvláštní ochrana dětí a mladistvých je zaručena.
(2) Ženě v těhotenství je zaručena zvláštní péče, ochrana v pracovních vztazích a odpovídající pracovní podmínky.
(3) Děti narozené v manželství i mimo ně mají stejná práva.
(4) Péče o děti a jejich výchova je právem rodičů; děti mají právo na rodičovskou výchovu a péči. Práva rodičů mohou být omezena a nezletilé děti mohou být od rodičů odloučeny proti jejich vůli jen rozhodnutím soudu na základě zákona.
(5) Rodiče, kteří pečují o děti, mají právo na pomoc státu.
