- EnglishA special tribunal, which will be denominated the Qualifying Tribunal of Elections, will take cognizance of the general scrutiny and of the qualification of the elections of President of the Republic, of Deputies and Senators; it will resolve the complaints which derive from them and will proclaim those who are elected. - English(1) The Elections Commission shall have such functions connected with or relating to the registration of electors or the conduct of elections as are conferred upon it by or under this Constitution or, subject thereto, any Act of Parliament; and, subject to the provisions of this Constitution, the Commission -
(a) shall exercise general direction and supervision over the registration of electors and the administrative conduct of all elections of members of the National Assembly; and
(b) shall issue such instructions and take such action as appear to it necessary or expedient to ensure impartiality, fairness and compliance with the provisions of this Constitution or of any Act of Parliament on the part of persons exercising powers or performing duties connected with or relating to the matters aforesaid.

(1) The Election Commission shall, subject to this Constitution and federal law, conduct, supervise, direct and control the election to the President, Vice-President, members of the Federal Parliament, members of Provincial Assemblies and members of Local Level. The Election Commission shall, for these purposes, prepare electoral rolls.
(2) The Election Commission shall hold a referendum on a matter of national importance in accordance with this Constitution and federal law
(3) In case, after nomination of candidacy for the President, Vice-President, member of the Federal Parliament, member of Provincial Assemblies or member of Local Level has been filed but before the election results are declared, a question arises about the qualification of a candidate, the Election Commission shall decide that question.
(4) The Election Commission may so delegate any of its functions, duties and powers to the Chief Election Commissioner, Election Commissioner or any government employee as to be exercised and complied with subject to the specified conditions.
(5) Other functions, duties and powers and rules of procedure of the Election Commission shall be as provided for in federal law. (Art. 246) - Nepali
(१) निर्वाचन आयोगले यस संविधान र संघीय कानूनको अधीनमा रही राष्ट्रपति, उपराष्ट्रपति, संघीय संसदका सदस्य, प्रदेश सभाका सदस्य, स्थानीय तहका सदस्यको निर्वाचनको संचालन, रेखदेख, निर्देशन र नियन्त्रण गर्नेछ । निर्वाचनको प्रयोजनका लागि मतदाताको नामावली तयार गर्ने कार्य निर्वाचन आयोगले गर्नेछ ।
(२) निर्वाचन आयोगले यस संविधान र संघीय कानून बमोजिम राष्ट्रिय महत्वको विषयमा जनमत संग्रह गराउनेछ ।
(३) राष्ट्रपति, उपराष्ट्रपति, संघीय संसदका सदस्य, प्रदेश सभा सदस्य वा स्थानीय तहका सदस्यका लागि उम्मेदवारीको मनोनयन दर्ता भइसकेको तर निर्वाचन परिणाम घोषणा भई नसकेको अवस्थामा कुनै उम्मेदवारको योग्यता सम्बन्धमा कुनै प्रश्न उठेमा त्यसको निर्णय निर्वाचन आयोगले गर्नेछ ।
(४) निर्वाचन आयोगले आफ्नो काम, कर्तव्य र अधिकार मध्ये कुनै काम, कर्तव्य र अधिकार प्रमुख निर्वाचन आयुक्त, कुनै निर्वाचन आयुक्त वा सरकारी कर्मचारीलाई तोकिएको शर्तको अधीनमा रही प्रयोग तथा पालन गर्ने गरी प्रत्यायोजन गर्न सक्नेछ ।
(५) निर्वाचन आयोगको अन्य काम, कर्तव्य र अधिकार तथा कार्यविधि संघीय कानून बमोजिम हुनेछ । (धारा २४६)

The elected Members of the Storting shall be furnished with credentials. The Storting decides whether the credentials are valid.
All those who have put up lists in elections to the Storting may appeal against the Storting’s decision. Specific provisions concerning the right of appeal and grounds for appeal shall be laid down by law. The Supreme Court makes the final decision on appeals.
If the Storting, the Supreme Court or the National Electoral Committee declares the election invalid, the elected Members of the Storting will remain in office until a new election has been finally approved. (Art. 64) - Norwegian
De valgte representantene får tildelt fullmakter. Stortinget avgjør om fullmaktene er lovlige.
Alle som har stilt liste ved stortingsvalget, kan klage på Stortingets avgjørelse. Nærmere bestemmelser om klagerett og klagegrunner fastsettes ved lov. Høyesterett avgjør klagene.
Hvis Stortinget, Høyesterett eller riksvalgstyret kjenner valget ugyldig, blir de valgte representantene sittende i vervet inntil et omvalg er endelig godkjent. (§ 64)

(a) to prepare for, conduct and supervise—
(i) elections to the office of President and to Parliament;
(ii) elections to provincial and metropolitan councils and the governing bodies of local authorities;

(iv) referendums;

(g) to design, print and distribute ballot papers, approve the form of and procure ballot boxes, and establish and operate polling centres;
(h) to conduct and supervise voter education;
(i) to accredit observers of elections and referendums;
(j) to give instructions to persons in the employment of the State or of a local authority for the purpose of ensuring the efficient, free, fair, proper and transparent conduct of any election or referendum; and
(k) to receive and consider complaints from the public and to take such action in regard to the complaints as it considers appropriate. (Sec. 239)

- EnglishThe National Electoral Council is the permanent organ of the State with the fundamental mission of organizing, directing, and supervising the elections, popular consultations, plebiscites, and referendums that are convened.
It handles and responds to the complaints that are lodged with regard to elections and performs the other functions recognized by the Constitution and the laws.
The National Electoral Council guarantees the veracity, transparency, efficiency, publicity, authenticity, and impartiality of the processes of democratic participation.
