When the expropriation of idle latifundios affects private owners [proprietarios], it will be fulfilled within that stipulated in Article 44 of this Constitution. The Agrarian Reform shall eliminate any form of exploitation of the peasants, and of the indigenous communities of the country and shall promote forms of ownership compatible with the economic and social objectives of the Nation, established in this Constitution. The regime of ownership of the indigenous communities will be regulated in accordance with the law on the matter. (Art. 107)
