All Burkinabe enjoy civil and political rights within the conditions specified by the law. (Art. 11)

All the Burkinabe without any distinction, have the right to participate in the conduct of the affairs of the State and of society.
In this capacity, they are electors and eligible within the conditions specified by the law. (Art. 12) - French
Tous les Burkinabè sans distinction aucune, ont le droit de participer à la gestion des affaires de l'Etat et de la société.
A ce titre, ils sont électeurs et éligibles dans les conditions prévues pala loi. (Art. 12)

The freedom of association is guaranteed. Every person has the right to constitute associations and to participate freely in the activities of the associations created. The functioning of the associations must conform to the laws and regulations in force.

La liberté d’association est garantie. Toute personne a le droit de constituer des associations et de participer librement aux activités des associations créées. Le fonctionnement des associations doit se conformer aux lois et règlements en vigueur.
