Work, in its diverse modalities, is [an] object of priority attention of the State, which especially protects the mother, the minor and the disabled who work.
The State promotes [promueve] conditions for social and economic progress, especially through policies of promotion [fomento] of productive employment and of education for work.
No labor relation may limit the exercise of the constitutional rights, nor disregard or disrespect [rebajar] the dignity of the worker.
No one is obligated to take work without payment or without his free consent. (Art. 23) - Spanish
El trabajo, en sus diversas modalidades, es objeto de atención prioritaria del Estado, el cual protege especialmente a la madre, al menor de edad y al impedido que trabajan.
El Estado promueve condiciones para el progreso social y económico, en especial mediante políticas de fomento del empleo productivo y de educación para el trabajo.
Ninguna relación laboral puede limitar el ejercicio de los derechos constitucionales, ni desconocer o rebajar la dignidad del trabajador.
Nadie está obligado a prestar trabajo sin retribución o sin su libre consentimiento. (Art. 23)

The worker has the right to an equitable and sufficient remuneration, that procures, for him and his family, material and spiritual well-being.
Payment of the remuneration and of the social benefits of the worker takes priority over any other obligation of the employer.
Minimum remunerations are regulated by the State with participation of the representative organizations of the workers and of the employers. (Art. 24) - Spanish
El trabajador tiene derecho a una remuneración equitativa y suficiente, que procure, para él y su familia, el bienestar material y espiritual.
El pago de la remuneración y de los beneficios sociales del trabajador tiene prioridad sobre cualquiera otra obligación del empleador.
Las remuneraciones mínimas se regulan por el Estado con participación de las organizaciones representativas de los trabajadores y de los empleadores. (Art. 24)

The ordinary day of work is of eight hours or forty-eight hours weekly, at the longest. In the case of cumulative or atypical workdays, the average number of hours worked in the corresponding period may not exceed that maximum.
Workers have the right to weekly and annual remunerated rest. This benefit and its compensation are regulated by law or by agreement. (Art. 25) - Spanish
La jornada ordinaria de trabajo es de ocho horas diarias o cuarenta y ocho horas semanales, como máximo. En caso de jornadas acumulativas o atípicas, el promedio de horas trabajadas en el período correspondiente no puede superar dicho máximo.
Los trabajadores tienen derecho a descanso semanal y anual remunerados. Su disfrute y su compensación se regulan por ley o por convenio. (Art. 25)

In the labor relationship the following principles are respected:
1. Equality of opportunities without discrimination.
2. [The] irrenounceable character of the rights recognized by the Constitution and the law.
3. Interpretation favorable to the worker in case of insurmountable doubt concerning the meaning of a norm. (Art. 26) - Spanish

1. Igualdad de oportunidades sin discriminación.
2. Carácter irrenunciable de los derechos reconocidos por la Constitución y la ley.

The State stimulates the creation of wealth and guarantees the freedom to work and the freedom of enterprise, commerce and industry. The exercise of these freedoms must not be harmful to public morals, to [public] health, or to [public] security. The State provides opportunities for improvement to the sectors that suffer from any inequality; in that sense, it promotes small enterprises in all their modalities. (Art. 59)

El Estado estimula la creación de riqueza y garantiza la libertad de trabajo y la libertad de empresa, comercio e industria. El ejercicio de estas libertades no debe ser lesivo a la moral, ni a la salud, ni a la seguridad públicas. El Estado brinda oportunidades de superación a los sectores que sufren cualquier desigualdad; en tal sentido, promueve las pequeñas empresas en todas sus modalidades. (Art. 59)
