    1. The Republic of Armenia shall recognize the exceptional mission of the Armenian Apostolic Holy Church, as the national church, in the spiritual life of the Armenian people, in the development of its national culture, and in the preservation of its national identity.
    2. The relationship between the Republic of Armenia and the Armenian Apostolic Holy Church may be regulated by a law. (Art. 18)

    1. Հայաստանի Հանրապետությունը ճանաչում է Հայաստանյայց առաքելական սուրբ եկեղեցու՝ որպես ազգային եկեղեցու բացառիկ առաքելությունը հայ ժողովրդի հոգևոր կյանքում, նրա ազգային մշակույթի զարգացման և ազգային ինքնության պահպանման գործում:
    2. Հայաստանի Հանրապետության և Հայաստանյայց առաքելական սուրբ եկեղեցու հարաբերությունները կարող են կարգավորվել օրենքով: (Հոդված 18)
