- EnglishThe State shall assure the protection of children’s rights as enshrined in the Convention on Children, especially, the right to life, the right to education, the right to protection during wartime and the right to protection from economic or sexual exploitation.
The State shall protect children from all kinds of labour that can be detrimental to their education and their schooling, or to their health or their welfare. Constitution of the Kingdom of Cambodia 1993, as amended to 2014 (English). We are aware amendments to the present constitution were adopted in 2018, 2021 and 2022. These efforts have not yet been consolidated by the government. The date as used in the database reflects what is available publicly. According to Art. 5: “The official language and script are those in Khmer.”
