- EnglishThe Cambodian monarchy is an elective monarchy.
The King can not appoint His heir to the throne. (Art. 10) - Khmerរបបរាជានិយមកម្ពុជា ជារបបជ្រើសតាំង។

- EnglishWithin a period not exceeding seven days, the new King of Cambodia shall be elected by the Crown Council.
The membership of the Crown Council shall be composed of:
– The President of the Senate
– The President of the National Assembly
– The Prime Minister
– The Supreme Patriarchs of the two religious orders, Mahanikaya and Dhammayutikanikaya
– The First and Second Vice-Presidents of the Senate
– The First and Second Vice-Presidents of the National Assembly
The organization and functioning of the Crown Council shall be determined by law. (Art. 13) - Khmerក្នុងរយៈពេលមិនលើសពីប្រាំពីរថ្ងៃ ព្រះមហាក្សត្រថ្មីនៃព្រះរាជាណាចក្រកម្ពុជា ត្រូវបានជ្រើសរើសដោយក្រុមប្រឹក្សារាជសម្បត្តិ ។
សមាសភាពនៃក្រុមប្រឹក្សារាជសម្បត្តិមាន ៖
– ប្រធានព្រឹទ្ធសភា
– ប្រធានរដ្ឋសភា
– នាយករដ្ឋមន្រ្តី
– សម្ដេចព្រះសង្ឃរាជ គណៈមហានិកាយ និងគណៈធម្មយុត្តិកនិកាយ
– អនុប្រធានទី១ និងអនុប្រធាន២ នៃព្រឹទ្ធសភា
– អនុប្រធានទី១និង អនុប្រធានទី២ នៃរដ្ឋសភា
ការរៀបចំនិងការប្រព្រឹត្តទៅនៃក្រុមប្រឹក្សារាជសម្បតិ្ដនឹងមានកំណត់ក្នុងច្បាប់មួយ។ (មាត្រា ១៣)

These efforts have not yet been consolidated by the government. The date as used in the database reflects what is available publicly. According to Art. 5: “The official language and script are those in Khmer.”
