- English(a) Every person of marriageable age as determined by law has the right to marry, and to establish a family as specified in law. The family, being the natural and fundamental unit of society, is entitled to special protection by society and the State.
(b) Children must be afforded special protection as specified in law in the event of a marital breakdown of the parents. (Art. 34) - Dhivehi(ހ) ޤާނޫނުގައި ކައިވެނިކުރެވޭ ޢުމުރުކަމުގައި ކަނޑައެޅިފައިވާ ޢުމުރުގެ ކޮންމެ މީހަކަށްމެ، ޤާނުނުގައި ކަނޑައަޅައިފައިވާ ގޮތުގެމަތީން ކައިވެނިކުރުމާއި، އާއިލާ ޤާއިމްކުރުމުގެ ހައްޤު ލިބިގެންވެއެވެ. އަދި ޢާއިލާއަކަށްމެ މުޖްތަމަޢާއި ދައުލަތުގެ ޙާއްސަ ރައްކާތެރިކަން ލިބިދޭންވާނެއެވެ.
(ށ) ކައިވެންޏެއް ރޫޅިއްޖެ ހާލަތެއްގައި ދަރީން ތިބިނަމަ، އެ ދަރީންނަށް ޤާނޫނުގައިވާ ގޮތުގެލަތީން ހާއްސަ ރައްކާތެރިކަން ލިބިދޭންވާނެއެވެ. (ޤާނޫނުއަސާސީގެ 34 ވަނަ މާއްދާ)

- English(c) Every citizen shall have equal access to the receipt of rights and benefits from any island where he has established residency. (Art. 41)

- English(b) In carrying out its powers and functions, the Civil Service Commission shall be governed by democratic values and principles, including the following:

- English(a) Members of the security services shall treat all persons and groups equally without any discrimination, and with humanity and dignity in accordance with the decorous principles of Islam.
