    The Union recognizes special position of Buddhism as the faith professed by the great majority of the citizens of the Union. (Sec. 361)

    နိုင်ငံတော်သည် ဗုဒ္ဓဘာသာသာသနာတော်ကို နိုင်ငံတော်၏ နိုင်ငံသားအများဆုံးကိုးကွယ်ရာ ဖြစ်သော ဂုဏ်ထူးဝိသေသနှင့်ပြည့်စုံသည့် ဘာသာသာသနာဖြစ်သည်ဟု နိုင်ငံတော်က အသိအမှတ်ပြုသည်။ (ပုဒ်မ-၃၆၁)

According to Sec. 377 of Chapter VIII- Citizen, Fundamental Rights and Duties of the Citizens: “In order to obtain a right given by this Chapter, application shall be made in accord with the stipulations, to the Supreme Court of the Union.”
