A supreme committee that enjoys independence and impartiality, chaired by a deputy chairman of the Supreme Court, shall be responsible for overseeing the election of the members of Majlis Al-Shura and for ruling on election petitions. The law shall prescribe the formation mechanism, competences, and work system of the committee. (Art. 71)
