    The President of the Republic shall be the Head of State.
    The President of the Republic shall represent the State of Lithuania and shall perform everything with which he is charged by the Constitution and laws. (Art. 77)

    A Lithuanian citizen by descent who has lived in Lithuania for not less than the last three years, provided that he has reached the age of not less than 40 prior to the election day and may stand for election as a Member of the Seimas, may stand for election as the President of the Republic.
    The President of the Republic shall be elected by the citizens of the Republic of Lithuania for a five-year term by universal, equal, and direct suffrage by secret ballot.

    Respublikos Prezidentu gali būti renkamas Lietuvos pilietis pagal kilmę, ne mažiau kaip trejus pastaruosius metus gyvenęs Lietuvoje, jeigu jam iki rinkimų dienos yra suėję ne mažiau kaip keturiasdešimt metų ir jeigu jis gali būti renkamas Seimo nariu.
    Respublikos Prezidentą renka Lietuvos Respublikos piliečiai penkeriems metams, remdamiesi visuotine, lygia ir tiesiogine rinkimų teise, slaptu balsavimu.

Refer to Art. 105: "The Constitutional Court shall consider and adopt decisions on whether the laws of the Republic of Lithuania or other acts adopted by the Seimas are in conflict with the Constitution of the Republic of Lithuania. The Constitutional Court shall also consider whether the following are in conflict with the Constitution and laws: 1) the acts of the President of the Republic; 2) the acts of the Government of the Republic. ..."

According to Art. 150: “The constituent part of the Constitution of the Republic of Lithuania shall be: … The Constitutional Act “On Membership of the Republic of Lithuania in the European Union” of 13 July 2004.”
