Every Dutch national shall have an equal right to elect the members of the general representative bodies and to stand for election as a member of those bodies, subject to the limitations and exceptions prescribed by Act of Parliament. (Art. 4)

Iedere Nederlander heeft gelijkelijk recht de leden van algemeen vertegenwoordigende organen te verkiezen alsmede tot lid van deze organen te worden verkozen, behoudens bij de wet gestelde beperkingen en uitzonderingen. (Art. 4)

The right of association shall be recognised. This right may be restricted by Act of Parliament in the interest of public order. (Art. 8)
