1

Constitution of the Republic of San Marino 1974, as amended to 2008. Declaration on the Citizens’ Rights and Fundamental Principles of San Marino Constitutional Order. Coordinated Text of Law No. 59 of 8th July 1974, with the Amendments resulting from Law No. 95 of 19th September 2000 and Law No. 36 of 26th February 2002. This Law was amended in 2005, available in Oxford Constitutions of the World Library (2016). The Qualified Law No. 1 of 2008 replaces the Electoral Law of 1926, which has been repealed. As it regulates the rights and duties of the citizens and the public administration in connection with electoral matters, it is considered to serve some of the functions of a Constitution. This is however, only available in Italian. UN Women undertook translations of excerpts of this law for the database.
The are discrepancies in the English and Italian texts.
