- English[The following] are Costa Ricans by naturalization:
1. The ones who have acquired this nationality by virtue of previous laws.
2. The nationals of other countries of Central American, the Spanish and the Spanish-Americans by birth, who have officially resided in the country for five years at a minimum and that fulfill the other requirements established by the law.
3. The Central Americans, the Spanish and the Spanish-Americans that are not so by birth, and the other foreigners who have officially resided in the country for seven years at a minimum and that fulfill the other requirements established by the law.
4. The foreign woman who by contracting marriage with a Costa Rican loses her nationality.
5. The foreign persons who by marring Costa Ricans lose their nationality or that after being married two years to Costa Ricans, and residing for that same time period in the country, manifest their desire to acquire the Costa Rican nationality.
6. Whoever holds honorary nationality granted by the Legislative Assembly. (Art. 14) - SpanishSon costarricenses por naturalización:

- English1. Every person born in Kiribati after the day prior to Independence Day shall become a citizen of Kiribati at the date of his birth unless on that date, not being a person of I-Kiribati descent or a person whose father is a citizen of Kiribati, he becomes a citizen of some other country: provided that a person shall not become a citizen of Kiribati by virtue of this subsection if at the time of his birth—
a. his father possesses such immunity from suit and legal process as is accorded to any envoy of a foreign sovereign power accredited to Kiribati and neither of his parents is a citizen of Kiribati; or
b. his father is a citizen of a country with which Kiribati is at war and the birth occurs in a place then under occupation of such country.
2. Every person born outside Kiribati after the day prior to Independence Day shall become a citizen of Kiribati at the date of his birth if at that date his father is, or would but for his death have been, a citizen of Kiribati. (Sec. 25)

a. for the acquisition of citizenship of Mauritius by persons who are not eligible or who are no longer eligible to become citizens of Mauritius by virtue of this Chapter;

- English1. A foreign person who has been married to a Mozambican citizen for at least five years acquires Mozambican nationality, except in cases of statelessness, provided that all of the following conditions are met:
a. that he or she declares that he or she wishes to acquire Mozambican nationality;
b. that he or she meets the requirements and offers the guarantees prescribed by law.

- English(1) Every person who, immediately before the commencement of this Constitution, is or has been married to a person -
(a) who continues to be a citizen of Guyana by virtue of the preceding article; or
(b) who, having died before the commencement of this Constitution, would, but for his or her death, have continued to be a citizen of Guyana on that date by virtue of that article,
shall, if not otherwise a citizen, be entitled, upon making application and upon taking the oath of allegiance, to be registered as a citizen of Guyana:

- English1. Subject to the provisions of Part III5 of this Constitution, the following persons born on or after Malaysia Day are citizens by operation of law, that is to say:
(a) every person born within the Federation of whose parents one at least is at the time of the birth either a citizen or permanently resident in the Federation; and
(b) every person born outside the Federation whose father is at the time of the birth a citizen and either was born in the Federation or is at the time of the birth in the service of the Federation or of a State; and
(c) every person born outside the Federation whose father is at the time of the birth a citizen and whose birth is, within one year of its occurrence or within such longer period as the Federal Government may in any particular case allow, registered at a consulate of the Federation or, if it occurs in Brunei or in a territory prescribed for this purpose by order of the Yang di-Pertuan Agong, registered with the Federal Government; and
(d) every person born in Singapore of whose parents one at least is at the time of the birth a citizen and who is not born a citizen otherwise than by virtue of this paragraph; and
(e) every person born within the Federation who is not born a citizen of any country otherwise than by virtue of this paragraph.

(c) tiap-tiap orang yang lahir di luar Persekutuan yang bapanya pada masa kelahiran itu seorang warganegara dan dalam masa satu tahun selepas kelahiran itu berlaku atau dalam masa apa-apa tempoh yang lebih lanjut sebagaimana yang dibenarkan oleh Kerajaan Persekutuan dalam mana-mana hal tertentu, kelahiran itu didaftarkan di suatu konsulat Persekutuan atau, jika kelahiran itu berlaku di Brunei atau di sesuatu wilayah yang ditetapkan bagi maksud ini melalui perintah Yang di-Pertuan Agong, didaftarkan dengan Kerajaan Persekutuan; dan
(d) tiap-tiap orang yang lahir di Singapura dan sekurang-kurangnya seorang daripada ibu bapanya pada masa kelahiran itu seorang warganegara dan orang itu pada masa dia lahir tidak menjadi warganegara selain menurut kuasa perenggan ini; dan
(e) tiap-tiap orang yang lahir di Persekutuan dan pada masa dia lahir tidak menjadi warganegara mana-mana negara selain menurut kuasa perenggan ini.
