- English(a) Everyone has the right to education without discrimination of any kind.
(b) Primary and secondary education shall be freely provided by the State. It is imperative on parents and the State to provide children with primary and secondary education. Opportunity for higher education shall be generally accessible to all citizens.
(c) Education shall strive to inculcate obedience to Islam, instil love for Islam, foster respect for human rights, and promote understanding, tolerance and friendship among all people. (Art. 36) - Dhivehi(ހ) އެއްވެސް ބާވަތެއްގެ ތަފާތުކުތުމެއް ނެތި އުނގެނުމުގެ ޙައްޤު ކޮންމެ މީހަކަށް ލިބިގެންވެއެވެ
(ށ) ފަށާ ތަޢުލީމާއި މެދުމަދުރަސީ ތަޢުލީމު ދައުލަތުން ހިލޭ ފޯރުކޮށްދޭންވާނެއެވެ. ކުދީންނަށް ފަށާ ތަޢުލީމާއި މެދުމަދުރަސީ ތަޢުލީމު ދިނުމަކީ އެ ކުދީންގެ މައިންބަފައިންނާއި ދައުލަތުގެ މައްޗައް ލާޒިމް ކަމެކެވެ. އަދި މަތީ ތަޢުލީމު އުނގެނުމުގެ ފުރުޞަތު އެންމެހައި ރައްޔިތުންނަށް ޢާންމުކޮށް ހުޅުވައިލެވިފައި އޮންނަންވާނެއެވެ.
(ނ) ތަޢުލީމީ ނިޒާމުގެ ތެރެއިން އިސްލާމްދީނަށް ބޯލަނބައި ކިޔަމަންޔަތުމަށް ބާރުއެޅުމަށާއި، އިސްލާމްދީނަށް ލޯބިޖެއްސުމަށާއި، އިންސާނީ ޙައްޤުތަކަށް އިޙްތިރާމް ކުރުމަށާއި، ޢާންމުކޮށް އެންމެންގެ މެދުގައި ޞުލްޙަމަސަލަސް ކަމާއި ރަހުމަތްތެރިކަން ބާއްވައިގެން އުޅުމުގެ މުހިންމުކަން އުގަންނައިދީ، މިކަންކަން ކުރިއެރުވުމަށް ބާރުއަޅާންވާނެއެވެ. - EnglishI. The State shall guarantee access to education and continuing education to all citizens under conditions of full equality.
II. The State shall give priority support to the students with less economic possibilities so that they can achieve different levels in the educational system, by providing economic resources, meal programs, clothing, transportation, school materials, and student residences in the distant areas, according to the law.
III. Students of excellent achievement shall be rewarded at all levels of the educational system. Every child and adolescent with natural, outstanding talent has the right to be attended to educationally with the teaching methodology and learning that makes possible the best development of his or her aptitudes and skills.
