- EnglishI. The social and labor dispositions are of obligatory fulfillment.
II. The labor norms shall be interpreted and applied based on the following principles: the protection of workers as the primary productive force of society; the primacy of the labor relation; work continuity and stability; non discrimination and the making of investments in favor of the worker.
III. The recognized rights and benefits in favor of workers cannot be waived, and agreements that are contrary to, or that tend to deride their effects, are null and void.
IV. The salaries or earned pay, labor rights, social benefits and contributions to social security, which are not paid, have a privilege and priority over any other debt and may not be attached or made unenforceable.
V. The State shall promote the incorporation of women into the workforce and shall guarantee them the same remuneration as men for work of equal value, both in the public and private arena.
VI. Women shall not be discriminated against or fired because of their civil status, because of pregnancy, because of their age or physical features, or because of the number of children they have. It is guaranteed that pregnant women and parents cannot be dismissed from employment until the child completes one year of age.

II. Las normas laborales se interpretarán y aplicarán bajo los principios de protección de las trabajadoras y de los trabajadores como principal fuerza productiva de la sociedad; de primacía de la relación laboral; de continuidad y estabilidad laboral; de no discriminación y de inversión de la prueba a favor de la trabajadora y del trabajador.
III. Los derechos y beneficios reconocidos en favor de las trabajadoras y los trabajadores no pueden renunciarse, y son nulas las convenciones contrarias o que tiendan a burlar sus efectos.
IV. Los salarios o sueldos devengados, derechos laborales, beneficios sociales y aportes a la seguridad social no pagados tienen privilegio y preferencia sobre cualquier otra acreencia, y son inembargables e imprescriptibles.
V. El Estado promoverá la incorporación de las mujeres al trabajo y garantizará la misma remuneración que a los hombres por un trabajo de igual valor, tanto en el ámbito público como en el privado.
VI. Las mujeres no podrán ser discriminadas o despedidas por su estado civil, situación de embarazo, edad, rasgos físicos o número de hijas o hijos. Se garantiza la inamovilidad laboral de las mujeres en estado de embarazo, y de los progenitores, hasta que la hija o el hijo cumpla un año de edad.
