- EnglishNo one may be a candidate for the office of the President of the Republic if they:
– are not exclusively of Togolese nationality by birth;
– are not thirty-five (35) years of age on the date of the deposit of the candidature;
– do not enjoy all their civil and political rights;
– do not present a general state of physical and mental well-being duly declared by three (03) sworn physicians, designated by the Constitutional Court;

- English(1) Any candidate for President or Vice-President shall be a citizen of Indonesia since birth, shall never have acquired another citizenship by his/her own will, shall never have committed an act of treason against the State, and shall be mentally and physically capable of implementing the duties and obligations of President or Vice-President.
(2) The requirements to become President or Vice-President shall be further regulated by law. (Art. 6) - Indonesian(1) Calon Presiden dan calon Wakil Presiden harus seorang warga negara Indonesia sejak kelahirannya dan tidak pernah menerima kewarganegaraan lain karena kehendaknya sendiri, tidak pernah mengkhianati negara, serta mampu secara rohani dan jasmani untuk melaksanakan tugas dan kewajiban sebagai Presiden dan Wakil Presiden.
(2) Syarat-syarat untuk menjadi Presiden dan Wakil Presiden diatur lebih lanjut dengan undang-undang. (Pasal 6)

To be eligible for the Presidency of the Republic, the candidate must:
– enjoy solely Algerian nationality of origin and to attest to the Algerian nationality of origin of the father and of the mother;
– not to have acquired a foreign nationality;
– be of Muslim faith;
– be at least forty (40) years of age on the day of the deposit of the request for candidature;
– enjoy the plenitude of his civil and political rights;
– attest to the Algerian sole nationality of origin of their spouse;
– give proof [justifier] of exclusive permanent residence in Algeria during a minimum of ten (10) years preceding the deposit of the candidature;
– give proof of participation in the Revolution of 1st of November 1954 for candidates born before July 1942;
– give proof of the fulfilment of the military service or of any other legal motive of its non-fulfilment.
– give proof of the non-involvement [non-implication] of his parents for candidates born after July 1942, in acts hostile to the Revolution of 1st of November 1954;
– produce a public declaration of his movable and immovable patrimony, both within Algeria and outside it.
An organic law establishes the modalities for the application of the provisions of this Article. (Art. 87) - Arabic
يشترط في المترشّح لرئاسة الجمهورية أن:
– يتمتّع بالجنسيّة الجزائريّة الأصليّة فقط، ويثبت الجنسية الجزائرية الأصلية للأب والأم،
– لا يكون قد تجنّس بجنسية أجنبية،
– يَدين بالإسلام،
– يبلغ سن الأربعين (٤٠) كاملة يوم إيداع طلب الترشّح،
– يتمتّع بكامل حقوقه المدنيّة والسّياسيّة،
– يُثبِت أن زوجه يتمتع بالجنسية الجزائرية الأصلية فقط،
– يثبت إقامة دائمة بالجزائر دون سواها لمدة عشر (١٠) سنوات، على الأقل، قبل إيداع الترشح،
– يُثبِت مشاركته في ثورة أوّل نوفمبر 1954 إذا كان مولودا قبل يوليو 1942،
– يثبت تأديته الخدمة الوطنية أو المبرر القانوني لعدم تأديتها،
– يُثبِت عدم تورّط أبويه في أعمال ضدّ ثورة أوّل نوفمبر 1954 إذا كان مولودا بعد يوليو 1942،
– يقدّم التّصريح العلنيّ بممتلكاته العقاريّة والمنقولة داخل الوطن وخارجه.

Pour être éligible à la Présidence de la République, le candidat doit:
— jouir uniquement de la nationalité algérienne d’origine et attester de la nationalité algérienne d’origine du père et de la mère;
— ne pas avoir acquis une nationalité étrangère;
— être de confession musulmane;
— avoir quarante (40) ans révolus au jour du dépôt de la demande de candidature;
— jouir de la plénitude de ses droits civils et politiques;
— attester de la nationalité algérienne d’origine unique du conjoint;
— justifier d’une résidence permanente exclusive en Algérie durant un minimum de dix (10) années précédant le dépôt de la candidature;
— justifier de la participation à la Révolution du 1er novembre 1954 pour les candidats nés avant juillet 1942;
— justifier de l’accomplissement du service national ou de tout autre motif légal de son non accomplissement;
— justifier de la non implication des parents du candidat né après juillet 1942, dans des actes hostiles à la Révolution du 1er novembre 1954;
— produire la déclaration publique du patrimoine mobilier et immobilier, tant à l’intérieur qu’à l’extérieur de l’Algérie.
Une loi organique fixe les modalités d’application des dispositions de cet article. (Art. 87)

- English(1) There shall be a President of Malta who shall be appointed by Resolution supported by the votes of not less than two-thirds of all the members of the House:
Provided that notwithstanding the provisions of sub-article(3)(a), if the Resolution is not supported by the votes of not less than two-thirds of all the members of the House, the person occupying the office of the President of Malta shall, in any circumstance, remain in office until the Resolution is supported by the votes of not less than two-thirds of all the members of the House.
(2) A person shall not be qualified to be appointed to the office of President if –
(a) he is not a citizen of Malta; or
(b) he holds or has held the office of Chief Justice or other Judge of the Superior Courts; or
(c) he is not eligible for appointment to or to act in any public office in accordance with articles 109, 118 and 120 of this Constitution. (Art. 48) - Maltese(1) Għandu jkun hemm President ta’ Malta li għandu jiġi maħtur b’Riżoluzzjoni li jkollha favur tagħha l-voti ta’ mhux inqas minn żewġ terzi tal-membri kollha tal-Kamra:
Iżda illi minkejja d-dispożizzjoni tas-subartikolu (3)(a), jekk ir-Riżoluzzjoni ma jkollhiex favur tagħha il-voti ta’ mhux inqas minn żewġ terzi tal-membri kollha tal-Kamra, il-persuna li tkun tokkupa l-kariga ta’ President ta’ Malta għandha, fi kwalunkwe ċirkostanza, tibqa’ fil-kariga sakemm ir-Riżoluzzjoni jkollha favur tagħha l-voti ta’ mhux inqas minn żewġ terzi tal-membri kollha tal-Kamra.
(2) Persuna ma tistax tiġi maħtura fil-kariga ta' President jekk –
(a) ma tkunx ċittadin ta' Malta; jew
(b) ikollha jew kellha l-kariga ta' Prim Imħallef jew imħallef ieħor tal-Qorti Superjuri; jew
(ċ) ma tkunx eliġibbli għal ħatra jew biex taġixxi f'xi kariga pubblika skont l-artikoli 109, 118 u 120 ta' din il-Kostituzzjoni. (Art. 48)
