- EnglishSuffrage may be exercised by all citizens of the Philippines not otherwise disqualified by law, who are at least eighteen years of age, and who shall have resided in the Philippines for at least one year, and in the place wherein they propose to vote, for at least six months immediately preceding the election. In Nicaragua the workers of the cities and of the countryside [campo], women, youth, agricultural producers, artisans, professionals, technicians, intellectuals, artists, religious [persons], the Communities of the Caribbean Coast and the population in general[,] have the right to form organizations, without any discrimination, with the objective of achieving the realization of their aspirations according to their own interests, and to participate in the construction of a new society.
Such organizations will be formed in accordance with the participative and elective will of citizens, [and] will have a social function and may or may not have a partisan character, according to their nature and objectives. (Art. 49) - Spanish
