Solely the State, the public collectivities and Ivoirian physical persons [personnes physiques] may accede to the ownership of rural land [propriété foncière rural]. The acquired rights are guaranteed.
The law determines the composition of the domain of the rural lands as well as the rules concerning the ownership, the concession and the transmission of the lands of the domain of the rural lands. (Art. 12) - French
