Status of International Law
- English1. General or common international law shall be an integral part of the Cabo Verdean legal order.
2. International treaties and agreements, validly approved or ratified, shall enter into force in the Cabo Verdean legal order subsequent to their official publication and entry into force in the international legal order as long as they remain internationally binding on the State of Cabo Verde.
3. Legal acts emanating from the competent organs of supranational organizations of which Cabo Verde is a member, shall enter directly into force in the domestic legal order, provided that such entry into force is established in the respective constitutive conventions.
4. The rules and principles of general or common as well as of conventional international law validly approved or ratified shall prevail, after their entry into force in the international and domestic legal orders, over all legislative and domestic regulatory acts of infra-constitutional force. 2. Os tratados e acordos internacionais, validamente aprovados ou ratificados, vigoram na ordem jurídica cabo-verdiana após a sua publicação oficial e entrada em vigor na ordem jurídica internacional e enquanto vincularem internacionalmente o Estado de Cabo Verde.
3. Os actos jurídicos emanados dos órgãos competentes das organizações supranacionais de que Cabo Verde seja parte vigoram directamente na ordem jurídica interna, desde que tal esteja estabelecido nas respectivas convenções constitutivas.
4. If the Supreme Court, referred to [the matter] by the President of the Union, by the President of the Assembly of the Union or by the Governors of the Islands, declares that an international commitment includes a clause contrary to the Constitution, the authorization to ratify it or approve it may only intervene after the revision of the Constitution.

Si la Cour Suprême, saisie par le Président de l’Union, par le Président de l’Assemblée de l’Union ou par les Gouverneurs des Iles, déclare qu’un engagement international comporte une clause contraire à la Constitution, l’autorisation de la ratifier ou de l’approuver ne peut intervenir qu’après la révision de la Constitution.

- EnglishInternational treaties and agreements ratified by the Congress that recognize human rights and that prohibit their limitation in the states of emergency, have prevalence in the internal order. The rights and duties consecrated in this Charter will be interpreted in conformity with international treaties on human rights ratified by Colombia.
The Colombian State can recognize the jurisdiction of the International Criminal Court in the terms specified in the Statute of Rome adopted on 17 of July of 1998 by the Plenipotentiary Conference of the United Nations and, consequently, to ratify this treaty in accordance within the procedure established in this Constitution.
The admission of a substantial disparity in treatment by the Statute of Rome with respect to the guarantees contained in the Constitution will have effects exclusively within the scope of the matter regulated in it. International agreements, previously ratified by the Republic of Poland upon the basis of constitutional provisions valid at the time of their ratification and promulgated in Dziennik Ustaw, shall be considered as agreements ratified with prior consent granted by statute, and shall be subject to the provisions of Article 91 of the Constitution if their connection with the categories of matters mentioned in Article 89, para. 1 of the Constitution derives from the terms of an international agreement.
2. The Council of Ministers shall, within 2 years of the coming into force of the Constitution, present to the Sejm a list of international agreements containing provisions not in conformity to the Constitution.

Umowy międzynarodowe ratyfikowane dotychczas przez Rzeczpospolitą Polską na podstawie obowiązujących w czasie ich ratyfikacji przepisów konstytucyjnych i ogłoszone w Dzienniku Ustaw, uznaje się za umowy ratyfikowane za uprzednią zgodą wyrażoną w ustawie i stosuje się do nich przepisy art. 91 Konstytucji, jeżeli z treści umowy międzynarodowej wynika, że dotyczą one kategorii spraw wymienionych w art. 89 ust. 1 Konstytucji.
