- English(1) All existing laws shall be brought in conformity with the Injunctions of Islam as laid down in the Holy Quran and Sunnah, in this part17 referred to as the Injunctions of Islam, and no law shall be enacted which is repugnant to such injunctions.
[Explanation.-- In the application of this clause to the personal law of any Muslim sect, the expression “Quran and Sunnah” shall mean the Quran and Sunnah as interpreted by the sect.]
(2) Effect shall be given to the provisions of clause (1) only in the manner provided in this Part.
(3) Nothing in this Part shall affect the personal laws of non-Muslim citizens or their status as citizens. In supporting and protecting Buddhism, which is the religion observed by the majority of Thai people for a long period of time, the State should promote and support education and dissemination of dharmic principles of Theravada Buddhism for the development of mind and wisdom development, and shall have measures and mechanisms to prevent Buddhism from being undermined in any form. ในการอุปถัมภ์และคุ้มครองพระพุทธศาสนาอันเป็นศาสนาที่ประชาชนชาวไทยส่วนใหญ่นับถือมาช้านาน รัฐพึงส่งเสริมและสนับสนุนการศึกษาและการเผยแผ่หลักธรรมของพระพุทธศาสนาเถรวาทเพื่อให้เกิดการพัฒนาจิตใจและปัญญา และต้องมีมาตรการและกลไกในการป้องกันมิให้มีการบ่อนทําลายพระพุทธศาสนาไม่ว่าในรูปแบบใด และพึงส่งเสริมให้พุทธศาสนิกชนมีส่วนร่วมในการดําเนินมาตรการหรือกลไกดังกล่าวด้วย (มาตรา ๖๗)

- English(1) The official religion of Brunei Darussalam shall be the Islamic Religion:
Provided that all other religions may be practised in peace and harmony by the persons professing them.
(2) The Head of the official religion of Brunei Darussalam shall be His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan.
(3) The Religious Council shall be the authority responsible for advising His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan on all matters relating to the Islamic Religion.
(4) For the purpose of this Article, His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan may, after consultation with the Religious Council, but not necessarily in accordance with the advice of that Council, make laws in respect of matters relating to the Islamic Religion. (Sec. 3) - Malay(1) Ugama rasmi bagi Negara Brunei Darussalam adalah Ugama Islam:
Tetapi ugama-ugama lain boleh diamalkan dengan aman dan sempurna oleh mereka yang mengamalkannya.
(2) Ketua ugama rasmi bagi Negara Brunei Darussalam adalah Kebawah Duli Yang Maha Mulia Paduka Seri Baginda Sultan dan Yang Di-Pertuan.
(3) Majlis Ugama Islam adalah badan yang bertanggungjawab untuk menyembahkan nasihat ke hadapan majlis Kebawah Duli Yang Maha Mulia Paduka Seri Baginda Sultan dan Yang Di-Pertuan mengenai semua perkara yang berhubung dengan Ugama Islam.
(4) Bagi maksud Perkara ini, Kebawah Duli Yang Maha Mulia Paduka Seri Baginda Sultan dan Yang Di-Pertuan boleh, setelah berunding dengan Majlis Ugama Islam, tetapi tidak semestinya mengikut nasihat Majlis itu, membuat undang-undang mengenai perkara-perkara yang berhubung dengan Ugama Islam.
