- English(1) Subject to subparagraph (2) and to paragraph 2, a person is qualified to be registered as a voter on the voters roll of a constituency if he or she—
(a) is of or over the age of eighteen years; and
(b) is a Zimbabwean citizen.
(2) The Electoral Law may prescribe additional residential requirements to ensure that voters are registered on the most appropriate voters roll, but any such requirements must be consistent with this Constitution, in particular with section 67. (Fourth Schedule, Qualifications of Voters, Sec. 1)

(a) Every Commonwealth citizen of the prescribed age who possesses such qualifications relating to residence or domicile in Saint Lucia as Parliament may prescribe shall, unless he or she is disqualified by Parliament from registration as a voter for the purpose of electing members of the House, be entitled to be registered as such a voter in accordance with the provisions of any law in that behalf, and no other person may be so registered.

- EnglishI. All citizens have the right to participate freely in the formation, exercise and control of political power, directly or through their representatives, individually or collectively. Participation shall be equitable and under equal conditions for men and women.
II. The right to participate includes:
1. Organization for purposes of political participation, in accordance with the Constitution and the law.
2. The right to suffrage, by equal, universal, direct, individual, secret, free and obligatory vote, which is publicly counted.3
3. Where communitarian democracy is practiced, the electoral processes shall be exercised according to their own norms and procedures, and shall supervised by the Electoral Organ (Organo Electoral) only if the electoral act is not subject to equal, universal, direct, secret, free and obligatory vote.

- EnglishThe elections to the House of the People and to the Legislative Assembly of every State shall be on the basis of adult suffrage; that is to say, every person who is a citizen of India and who is not less than eighteen years of age on such date as may be fixed in that behalf by or under any law made by the appropriate Legislature and is not otherwise disqualified under this Constitution or any law made by the appropriate Legislature on the ground of non-residence, unsoundness of mind, crime or corrupt or illegal practice, shall be entitled to be registered as a voter at any such election. It is the obligation of the State and the duty of society to facilitate the generation of optimum conditions for putting this into practice.
