1. Political parties are created freely. Their organization shall conform with democratic principles.
2. Political parties and other organizations, whose programs and activity are based on totalitarian methods, that incite and support racial, religious, regional or ethnic hatred, that use violence to take power or influence state policies, as well as those with a secret character, are prohibited pursuant to the law.

- English1. Freedom of association includes the right to form or take part in political associations and parties and through them to work jointly and democratically towards the formation of the popular will and the organisation of political power.
2. No one may be simultaneously registered as a member of more than one political party, and no one may be deprived of the exercise of any right because he is or ceases to be registered as a member of any legally constituted party.
3. Without prejudice to the philosophy or ideology that underlies their manifestoes, political parties may not employ names that contain expressions which are directly related to any religion or church, or emblems that can be confused with national or religious symbols.
4. No party may be formed with a name or manifesto objectives that show it has a regional nature or scope.
5. Political parties must be governed by the principles of democratic transparency, organisation and management, and participation by all their members.
6. The law shall lay down the rules governing the financing of political parties, particularly as regards the requisites for and limits on public funding, as well as the requirements to publicise their assets and accounts. - English1. Greek citizens possessing the right to vote may freely found and join political parties, the organization and activity of which must serve the free functioning of democratic government.
Citizens who have not yet acquired the right to vote may participate in youth sections of parties.
2. Political parties are entitled to receive financial support by the State for their electoral and operating expenses, as specified by law. A statute shall specify the guarantees of transparency concerning electoral expenses and, in general, the financial management of political parties, of Members of Parliament, parliamentary candidates and candidates for all degrees of local government. A statute shall impose the maximum limit of electoral expenses, may prohibit certain forms of pre-electoral promotion and shall specify the conditions under which violation of the relevant provisions constitutes a ground for the forfeiture of parliamentary office on the initiative of the special body of the following section. The audit of the electoral expenses of political parties and parliamentary candidates is carried out by a special body which is constituted also with the participation of senior magistrates, as specified by law. A law may also extend these regulations to candidates for other offices held through election.

Με νόμο επιβάλλεται ανώτατο όριο εκλογικών δαπανών, μπορεί να απαγορεύονται ορισμένες μορφές προεκλογικής προβολής και καθορίζονται οι προϋποθέσεις υπό τις οποίες η παράβαση των σχετικών διατάξεων συνιστά λόγο έκπτωσης από το βουλευτικό αξίωμα με πρωτοβουλία του ειδικού οργάνου του επόμενου εδαφίου. O έλεγχος των εκλογικών δαπανών των κομμάτων και των υποψήφιων βουλευτών διενεργείται από ειδικό όργανο που συγκροτείται και με τη συμμετοχή ανώτατων δικαστικών λειτουργών, όπως νόμος ορίζει. Με νόμο μπορούν να επεκταθούν οι ρυθμίσεις αυτές και στους υποψηφίους για άλλες αιρετές θέσεις.

Stranke moraju javno polagati račun o porijeklu svojih sredstava i imovine.
Protuustavne su političke stranke koje svojim programom ili nasilnim djelovanjem smjeraju podrivanju slobodnoga demokratskog poretka ili ugrožavaju opstojnost Republike Hrvatske. O protuustavnosti odlučuje Ustavni sud Republike Hrvatske.

- English(1) Political parties shall participate in the formation of the political will of the people. They may be freely established. Their internal organisation must conform to democratic principles. They must publicly account for their assets and for the sources and use of their funds.
(2) Parties that, by reason of their aims or the behaviour of their adherents, seek to undermine or abolish the free democratic basic order or to endanger the existence of the Federal Republic of Germany shall be unconstitutional. The Federal Constitutional Court shall rule on the question of unconstitutionality.
(3) Parties that, by reason of their aims or the behaviour of their adherents, seek to undermine or abolish the free democratic basic order or to endanger the existence of the Federal Republic of Germany shall be excluded from state financing. If such exclusion is determined, any favourable fiscal treatment of these parties and of payments made to those parties shall cease.
(4) The Federal Constitutional Court shall rule on the question of unconstitutionality within the meaning of paragraph (2) of this Article and on exclusion from state financing within the meaning of paragraph (3).
(5) Details shall be regulated by federal laws. (Art. 21) - German(1) Die Parteien wirken bei der politischen Willensbildung des Volkes mit. Ihre Gründung ist frei. Ihre innere Ordnung muß demokratischen Grundsätzen entsprechen. Sie müssen über die Herkunft und Verwendung ihrer Mittel sowie über ihr Vermögen öffentlich Rechenschaft geben.
(2) Parteien, die nach ihren Zielen oder nach dem Verhalten ihrer Anhänger darauf ausgehen, die freiheitliche demokratische Grundordnung zu beeinträchtigen oder zu beseitigen oder den Bestand der Bundesrepublik Deutschland zu gefährden, sind verfassungswidrig.
(3) Parteien, die nach ihren Zielen oder dem Verhalten ihrer Anhänger darauf ausgerichtet sind, die freiheitliche demokratische Grundordnung zu beeinträchtigen oder zu beseitigen oder den Bestand der Bundesrepublik Deutschland zu gefährden, sind von staatlicher Finanzierung ausgeschlossen. Wird der Ausschluss festgestellt, so entfällt auch eine steuerliche Begünstigung dieser Parteien und von Zuwendungen an diese Parteien.
(4) Über die Frage der Verfassungswidrigkeit nach Absatz 2 sowie über den Ausschluss von staatlicher Finanzierung nach Absatz 3 entscheidet das Bundesverfassungsgericht.(5) Das Nähere regeln Bundesgesetze. (Art. 21)
