- EnglishThe Commission is responsible for the following missions:
a) To organize the elections at the national level, at the level of the communes and at that of the collines or of the quartiers;
b) To see to it that the elections are free, regular and transparent;
c) To proclaim the provisional results of the elections within a time period defined by the law;
d) To promulgate the arrangements, the code of conduct and the technical details, including the location of the polls [bureaux de vote] and the hours in which they are open;
e) To receive the claims concerning the respect for the electoral rules and to process them [y donner suite];
f) The decisions of the Commission are without appeal;
g) To see to it, applying the appropriate rules, that the electoral campaigns do not take place [se déroulent] in a manner that incites to ethnic violence or in any other manner contrary to this Constitution;
h) To assure the respect for the provisions of this Constitution relative to multiethnicity and to gender[,] and to take cognizance of the claims in this respect. (Art. 92) - KirundiUwo mugwi ujejwe amabanga akurikira :

f. Ingingo zishinzwe n’uwo mugwi ntizigira iyungururizo ;
g. Gucungera hakurikijwe amategeko avyerekeye ko kwiyamamaza bidakorwa ku buryo bwo kwosha abantu badasangiye ubwoko ngo batane mu mitwe canke mu bundi buryo bwose buteye kubiri n’iri Bwirizwa shingiro;
h. Kwubahiriza ingingo z’iri Bwirizwa shingiro zerekeye ubudasa bw’amoko hamwe n’ibitsina no gutatura amatati azerekeye. (Ingingo ya 92) - FrenchLa commission est chargée des missions suivantes :
a. Organiser les élections au niveau national, au niveau des communes et à celui des collines ou des quartiers ;
b. Veiller à ce que ces élections soient libres, régulières et transparentes ;
c. Proclamer les résultats provisoires des élections dans un délai défini par la loi ;
d. Promulguer les arrangements, le code de conduite et les détails techniques, y compris l’emplacement des bureaux de vote et les heures auxquelles ils sont ouverts ;
e. Recevoir les plaintes concernant le respect des règles électorales et y donner suite.
f. Les décisions de la Commission sont sans appel ;
g. Veiller, en appliquant des règles appropriées, à ce que les campagnes électorales ne se déroulent de manière à inciter à la violence ethnique ou de toute autre manière contraire à la présente Constitution ;
h. Assurer le respect des dispositions de la présente Constitution relatives à la multiethnicité et au genre et connaître des contestations à cet égard. (Art. 92)
