- EnglishThe candidate for the office of President of the Republic should:
1. Have completed forty years of age;
2. Be of Syrian nationality by birth, of parents who are of Syrian nationality by birth;
3. Enjoy civil and political rights and not convicted of a dishonorable felony, even if he was reinstated;
4. Not be married to a non-Syrian wife;
5. Be a resident of the Syrian Arab Republic for no less than 10 years continuously upon being nominated. (Art. 84) - Arabicيشترط في المرشح إلى منصب رئيس الجمهورية ما يأتي:
1. أن يكون متماً لأربعين عاماً من عمره.
2. أن يكون متمتعاً بالجنسية العربية السورية بالولادة، من أبوين متمتعين بالجنسية العربية السورية بالولادة.
3. أن يكون متمتعاً بحقوقه المدنية والسياسية، وغير محكوم بجرم شائن ولو رد إليه اعتباره.
4. أن لا يكون متزوجاً من غير سورية.
5. أن يكون مقيماً في الجمهورية العربية السورية لمدة لا تقل عن عشر سنوات إقامة دائمة متّصلة عند تقديم طلب الترشيح .(المادّة 84)

- EnglishThat the Succession to the Monarchy of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and of the Dominions thereto belonging after Her most Sacred Majesty and in default of Issue of Her Majesty be remain and continue to the most Excellent Princess Sophia Electoress and Dutchess Dowager of Hanover and the Heirs of her body being Protestants upon whom the Crown of England is settled by an Act of Parliament made in England in the Twelfth year of the reign of His late Majesty King William the Third intituled an Act for the further Limitation of the Crown and better securing the rights and Liberites of the Subject And that all Papists and persons marrying Papists shall be excluded from and for ever incapable to inherit possess or enjoy the Imperial Crown of Great Britain and the Dominions thereunto belonging or any part thereof and in every such Case the Crown and Government shall from time to time descend to and be enjoyed by such person being a Protestant as should have inherited and enjoyed the same in case such Papist or person marrying a Papist was naturally dead according to the Provision for the descent of the Crown of England made by another Act of Parliament in England in the first year of the reign of Their late Majesties King William and Queen Mary intituled an Act declaring the Rights and Liberites of the Subject and settling the Succession of the Crown. No one may be a candidate to the function of the President of the Republic or Vice President of the Republic if:
- [they are] not of Beninese nationality by birth or have acquired [it for] at least ten years;
- [they are] not of good morals and of grand probity;
- [they] do not enjoy all their civil and political rights;
- [they] are not at least already 40 years old and at most already 70 years old at the date of entering into [their] function;
- [they were] elected two (02) times President of the Republic and exercised two mandates as such;
- [they were] not present in the Republic of Benin at the time of the deposit of their candidature;
- [they] do not enjoy a complete state of physical and mental well-being duly stated by a board [college] of three (03) doctors designated under oath by the Constitutional Court.

Nul ne peut être candidat aux fonctions de Président de la République ou de vice-président de la République s'il :
- n'est de nationalité béninoise de naissance ou acquise depuis au moins dix ans ;
- n'est de bonne moralité et d'une grande probité;
- ne jouit de tous ses droits civils et politiques ;
- n'est âgé d’au moins 40 ans révolus et au plus 70 ans révolus à la date d’entrée en fonction ;
- a été élu deux (02) fois Président de la République et a exercé comme tel deux mandats ;

- English(1) A person shall not be entitled to be elected to hold the office of President of the United Republic save only if -
(a) he is a citizen of the United Republic by birth in accordance with the citizenship law;
(b) he has attained the age of forty years;
(c) he is a member of, and a candidate nominated by, a political party;
(d) he is qualified to be a Member of Parliament or a Member of the House of Representatives; and
(e) within the period of five years before the General Elections, he has not been convicted by any court for any offence relating to evasion to pay any tax due to the Government.
(2) Without prejudice to any person’s right and freedom of expression to hold his own views, to profess a religious faith of his choice, to associate with others and to participate with others in community work in accordance with the laws of the land, no person shall be qualified to be elected to hold the office of President of the United Republic unless he is a member of, and a candidate proposed by, a political party. - EnglishTo be elected President or Vice-President of the Nation it is necessary to have been born in the Argentine territory, or to be the son of a native born citizen if born in a foreign country; and to have the other qualifications required to be elected senator. (Sec. 89)

(1) The Federal President shall be elected by the federal people on the basis of equal, direct, personal, free and secret suffrage by men and women having suffrage to the National Council. If only one candidate stands for election, it shall be carried out in form of a voting. Art. 26 para 5 to 7 shall apply accordingly.
(2) The candidate who polls more than half of all valid votes has been elected. If no such majority results, a second ballot takes place. Votes in this can validly be cast only for one of the two candidates who have polled the most votes in the first ballot.
(3) Only a person who is eligible for election to the National Council and has completed the thirty-fifth year of life on the day of the election can be elected Federal President.

(1) Der Bundespräsident wird vom Bundesvolk auf Grund des gleichen, unmittelbaren, persönlichen, freien und geheimen Wahlrechtes der zum Nationalrat wahlberechtigten Männer und Frauen gewählt; stellt sich nur ein Wahlwerber der Wahl, so ist die Wahl in Form einer Abstimmung durchzuführen. Art. 26 Abs. 5 bis 8 ist sinngemäß anzuwenden.
(2) Gewählt ist, wer mehr als die Hälfte aller gültigen Stimmen für sich hat. Ergibt sich keine solche Mehrheit, so findet ein zweiter Wahlgang statt. Bei diesem können gültigerweise nur für einen der beiden Wahlwerber, die im ersten Wahlgang die meisten Stimmen erhalten haben, Stimmen abgegeben werden.
(3) Zum Bundespräsidenten kann nur gewählt werden, wer zum Nationalrat wählbar ist und am Wahltag das 35. Lebensjahr vollendet hat.
