1. Candidates for deputies are nominated at the constituency level by political parties or by voters. A candidate may only be brought forward from one of the proposing subjects, according to this paragraph. The rules for the registration of candidates for deputies are defined in the law on elections.

(1) If at a general election which is contested by two or more political parties and in which only candidates of two parties are elected or in the eventuality of an election result as provided for in sub-paragraphs (i) and (ii) of the proviso to sub-article (1) of article 52 and in the event that the number of Members of Parliament of the under-represented sex, elected by virtue of article 52, inclusive of those members elected at a casual election in terms of the relevant regulations, is less than forty per cent (40%) of all the Members of Parliament, then the number of Members of Parliament shall increase by not more than twelve (12) Members of the under-represented sex:

(1) Subject to the provisions of section 66 of this Constitution, a person shall be qualified for election as a member of:
(a) the Senate, if he is a citizen of Nigeria and has attained the age of 35 years; and

- EnglishA member of the Consultative Council must be a citizen of Bahrain, and for naturalized citizens at least ten years must have elapsed since acquiring their citizenship. He must not be a citizen of another country, with the exception of citizens of the member states the Cooperation Council of the Arab States of the Gulf, on the condition that his Bahraini citizenship be his original citizenship. He must enjoy full civil and political rights, and must be enrolled in an electoral register. - EnglishFirst: The Council of Representatives shall consist of a number of members, at a ratio of one seat per 100,000 Iraqi persons representing the entire Iraqi people. They shall be elected through a direct secret general ballot. The representation of all components of the people shall be upheld in it.
Second: A candidate to the Council of Representatives must be a fully qualified Iraqi.
Third: A law shall regulate the requirements for the candidate, the voter, and all that is related to the elections.
Fourth: The elections law shall aim to achieve a percentage of representation for women of not less than one-quarter of the members of the Council of Representatives.

ثانياً :ـ يشترط في المرشح لعضوية مجلس النواب ان يكون عراقياً كامل الاهلية.
ثالثاً :ـ تنظم بقانونٍ، شروط المرشح والناخب وكل ما يتعلق بالانتخاب.
رابعاً :ـ يستهدف قانون الانتخابات تحقيق نسبة تمثيل للنساء لا تقل عن الربع من عدد اعضاء مجلس النواب.
