1. The current law in the Republic of Kazakhstan is the norms of the Constitution, laws corresponding to it, other regulatory legal acts, international treaty and other obligations of the Republic, as well as regulatory resolutions of the Constitutional Court and the Supreme Court of the Republic.
2. The Constitution shall have the highest juridical force and direct effect on the entire territory of the Republic.

- EnglishThe provisions of the present Constitution which recognize individual rights, as well as those which confer powers and impose duties on public authorities, shall not be without effect by reason of the lack of corresponding regulations, but such regulations shall be supplied on the basis of analogous laws, general principles of justice, and generally accepted doctrines. - EnglishIf the Constitutional Court[,] referred to [the matter] by the President of the Republic, by the President of the National Assembly, by the President of the Senate or by one-third (1/3) of the Deputies, has declared that a international commitment includes a clause contrary to the Constitution, the authorization to ratify or to approve the international commitment in question can only intervene after the revision of the Constitution.
