- English(1) All Spaniards have the duty to work and the right to work, to the free choice of profession or trade, to advancement through work, and to a sufficient remuneration for the satisfaction of their needs and those of their families. Under no circumstances may they be discriminated on account of their sex.
(2) The law shall regulate a Workers' Statute. (Sec. 35) - Spanish1. Todos los españoles tienen el deber de trabajar y el derecho al trabajo, a la libre elección de profesión u oficio, a la promoción a través del trabajo y a una remuneración suficiente para satisfacer sus necesidades y las de su familia, sin que en ningún caso pueda hacerse discriminación por razón de sexo.

The workers have the right to conditions of work that assure to them[,] especially:

2. To be remunerated in legal tender at their place [centro] of work.
3. The minimum wage and social security payments [are] not attachable, except for protection of their [su] family and in the terms that the law establishes.
4. Conditions of work that guarantee to them physical integrity, health, hygiene and the minimization of occupational [profesionales] risks to make effective the occupational [ocupacional] security of the worker.
5. A work day of eight hours, weekly rest, vacations, remuneration for national holidays and a thirteenth month bonus [salario] in accordance with the law.
6. Stability in the job in accordance with the law[,] and equal opportunity to be promoted [promovido], without greater limitations than the factors of time [tiempo], service, capacity, efficiency and responsibility.
7. Social security for integral protection and measures of subsistence in cases of disability, age, occupational risks, illness or maternity, and to their relations in cases of death, in the form and conditions that the law determines. (Art. 82) - Spanish
Los trabajadores tienen derecho a condiciones de trabajo que les aseguren en especial:
1) Salario igual por trabajo igual en idénticas condiciones, adecuado a su responsabilidad social, sin discriminaciones por razones políticas, religiosas, sociales, de sexo o de cualquier otra clase, que les asegure un bienestar compatible con la dignidad humana.
2) Ser remunerado en moneda de curso legal en su centro de trabajo.
3) La inembargabilidad del salario mínimo y las prestaciones sociales, excepto para protección de su familia y en los términos que establezca la ley.
4) Condiciones de trabajo que les garanticen la integridad física, la salud, la higiene y la disminución de los riesgos profesionales para hacer efectiva la seguridad ocupacional del trabajador.
5) Jornada laboral de ocho horas, descanso semanal, vacaciones, remuneración por los días feriados nacionales y salario por décimo tercer mes de conformidad con la ley.
6) Estabilidad en el trabajo conforme a la ley e igual oportunidad de ser promovido, sin más limitaciones que los factores de tiempo, servicio, capacidad, eficiencia y responsabilidad.
7) Seguridad social para protección integral y medios de subsistencia en casos de invalidez, vejez, riesgos profesionales, enfermedad y maternidad; y a sus familiares en casos de muerte, en la forma y condiciones que determine la ley. (Art. 82)

- EnglishThe workers of both sexes have the same labor rights and obligations, but maternity will be subject to special protection, that will include the assistance services and the corresponding leaves of absence [descansos], which will not be less than 12 weeks. A woman may not be terminated [despedida] during the pregnancy, or as long as the leaves of absence for maternity continue.
The law will establish the regime of paternity licenses. (Art. 89) - SpanishLos trabajadores de uno y otro sexo tienen los mismos derechos y obligaciones laborales, pero la maternidad será objeto de especial protección, que comprenderá los servicios asistenciales y los descansos correspondientes, los cuales no serán inferiores a doce semanas. - English(1) It is unlawful for a person (in the course of that person’s involvement in any of the areas to which this subsection is applied by subsection (2)) to treat adversely any other person, or to make an implied or overt threat to treat adversely any other person, on the ground that the other person is, or is suspected or assumed or believed to be, a person affected by domestic violence.
(2) The areas to which subsection (1) applies are—
(a) the making of an application for employment:
(b) employment, which term includes unpaid work.
(3) In this section, an employer treats adversely an employee if the employer—
(a) dismisses that employee, in circumstances in which other employees employed by that employer on work of that description are not or would not be dismissed or subjected to such detriment; or
(b) refuses or omits to offer or afford to that employee the same terms of employment, conditions of work, fringe benefits, or opportunities for training, promotion, and transfer as are made available for other employees of the same or substantially the same qualifications, experience, or skills employed in the same or substantially similar circumstances; or
(c) subjects that employee to any detriment, in circumstances in which other employees employed by that employer on work of that description are not or would not be subjected to such detriment; or
(d) retires that employee, or requires or causes that employee to retire or resign.
(4) For the purposes of this section,— child has the meaning given to it in section 8 of the Family Violence Act 2018
family violence has the meaning given to it in section 9 the Family Violence Act 2018, person affected by family violence means a person who is 1 or both of the following:
(a) a person against whom any other person is inflicting, or has inflicted, family violence:
(b) a person with whom there ordinarily or periodically resides a child against whom any other person is inflicting, or has inflicted, family violence.
(5) Subsection (1) applies regardless of how long ago the family violence occurred or is suspected or assumed or believed to have occurred, and even if the family violence occurred or is suspected or assumed or believed to have occurred before the person became an employee.
