- English(1) Every citizen who—
(a) has attained the age of eighteen years on the qualifying date;
(b) is resident in a constituency on such qualifying date or, if not so resident, is an absent voter; and
(c) is, under the provisions of any law relating to elections, registered in the electoral roll as an elector in the constituency in which he resides on the qualifying date,
is entitled to vote in that constituency in any election to the House of Representatives or the Legislative Assembly unless he is disqualified under Clause (3) or under any law relating to offences committed in connection with elections; but no person shall in the same election vote in more than one constituency. - EnglishEvery Tongan subject of twenty-one years of age or more who is not a noble, is not insane or imbecile and is not disabled by the twenty-third clause shall, if registered as an elector, be entitled to vote in an election for representatives of the people to the Legislative Assembly and on the day appointed for election shall be exempt from summons for debt. A person resident outside of Tonga who is qualified to be an elector may vote at an election only if he is registered as an elector and present in Tonga for the election. (Clause 64)

Pakistan
- English(1) Every citizen shall have the right to form associations or unions, subject to any reasonable restrictions imposed by law in the interest of sovereignty or integrity of Pakistan, public order or morality.
(2) Every citizen, not being in the service of Pakistan, shall have the right to form or be a member of a political party, subject to any reasonable restrictions imposed by law in the interest of the sovereignty or integrity of Pakistan and such law shall provide that where the Federal Government declares that any political party has been formed or is operating in a manner prejudicial to the sovereignty or integrity of Pakistan, the Federal Government shall, within fifteen days of such declaration, refer the matter to the Supreme Court whose decision on such reference shall be final.

(٢) ہر شہری کو، جو ملازمتِ پاکستان میں نہ ہو، پاکستان کی حاکمیت اعلی سالمیت کے مفاد میں قانون کے ذریعے عائد کردہ معقول پابندیوں کے تابع کوئی سیاسی جماعت بنانے یا اس کا رکن بننے کا حق ہوگا اور مذکورہ قانون میں قرار دیا جائے گا کہ جبکہ وفاقی حکومت یہ اعلان کر دے کہ کوئی سیاسی جماعت ایسے طریقے پر بنائی گئی ہے یا عمل کر رہی ہے جو پاکستان کی حاکمیتِ اعلی یا سالمیت کے لیے مضر ہے تو وفاقی حکومت مذکورہ اعلان سے پندرہ دن کے اندر معاملہ عدالتِ عظمٰی کے حوالے کر دے گی جس کا مذکورہ حوالے پر فیصلہ قطعی ہوگا۔

- English(1) Every citizen is free to make political choices, which includes the right—
(a) to form, or participate in forming, a political party;
(b) to participate in the activities of, or recruit members for, a political party; or
(c) to campaign for a political party or cause.
(2) Every citizen has the right to free, fair and regular elections based on universal suffrage and the free expression of the will of the electors for—
(a) any elective public body or office established under this Constitution; or
(b) any office of any political party of which the citizen is a member.
(3) Every adult citizen has the right, without unreasonable restrictions—
(a) to be registered as a voter;
(b) to vote by secret ballot in any election or referendum; and
(c) to be a candidate for public office, or office within a political party of which the citizen is a member and, if elected, to hold office. (Art. 38) - Swahili(1) Kila raia yuko huru kufanya chaguzi za kisiasa, ambazo ni pamoja na haki-
