- EnglishEvery citizen has the right to education. The goals of education are to build the Egyptian character, preserve the national identity, root the scientific method of thinking, develop talents and promote innovation, establish cultural and spiritual values, and found the concepts of citizenship, tolerance and non-discrimination. The State shall observe the goals of education in the educational curricula and methods, and provide education in accordance with international quality standards.
Education is compulsory until the end of the secondary stage or its equivalent. The State shall provide free education in the various stages in the State's educational institutions according to the Law.
The State shall allocate a percentage of government spending to education equivalent to at least 4% of the Gross National Product (GNP), which shall gradually increase to comply with international standards.
The State shall supervise education to ensure that all public and private schools and institutes abide by its educational policies. (Art. 19) - Arabicالتّعليم حقّ لكلّ مواطن، هدفه بناء الشّخصية المصرية، والحفاظ على الهويّة الوطنية، وتأصيل المنهج العلمى فى التفكير، وتنمية المواهب وتشجيع الابتكار، وترسيخ القيم الحضارية والرّوحية، وإرساء مفاهيم المواطنة والتسامح وعدم التمييز، وتلتزم الدولة بمراعاة أهدافه فى مناهج التعليم ووسائله، وتوفيره وفقاً لمعايير الجودة العالمية.
التّعليم إلزاميّ حتى نهاية المرحلة الثانويّة أو ما يعادلها، وتكفل الدّولة مجانيته بمراحله المختلفة في مؤسّسات الدّولة التّعليمية، وفقاً للقانون.
تلتزم الدّولة بتخصيص نسبة من الإنفاق الحكومى للتّعليم لا تقل عن 4% من الناتج القومى الإجمالى، تتصاعد تدريجيا حتى تتّفق مع المعايير العالمية.
تشرف الدّولة على التّعليم لضمان التزام جميع المدارس والمعاهد العامة والخاصّة بالسّياسات التّعليمية لها. (المادّة 19)

The access to education [educación] is free and equal for all Nicaraguans. Primary education [enseñanza] is gratuitous and obligatory in the centers of the State. Secondary education [enseianza] is gratuitous in the centers of the State, without prejudice to the voluntary contributions which parents may make. No one may be excluded in any form from a state center for economic reasons. The indigenous peoples and the ethnic communities of the Caribbean Coast have right in their region to intercultural education [educación] in their mother tongue, in accordance with the law. El acceso a la educación es libre e igual para todos los nicaragüenses. La enseñanza primaria es gratuita y obligatoria en los centros del Estado. La enseñanza secundaria es gratuita en los centros del Estado, sin perjuicio de las contribuciones voluntarias que puedan hacer los padres de familia.
Nadie podrá ser excluido en ninguna forma de un centro estatal por razones económicas. Los pueblos indígenas y las comunidades étnicas de la Costa Caribe tienen derecho en su región a la educación intercultural en su lengua materna, de acuerdo a la ley. (Art. 121)
