- English1. The aim of education is forming human beings. It shall remain closely linked to productive labor, shall facilitate the acquisition of skills, knowledge and values that enable the citizen to be part of the community and contribute to its continuous progress.
2. The State considers the eradication of illiteracy a fundamental task. (Art. 16) - Portuguese1 - A educação visa a formação do homem.
