(ii) titled persons;
(iii) persons who, in His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan’s opinion, have rendered distinguished public service or who are not within sub-paragraph (a)(iv) but who, in his opinion, will be capable of contributing to the deliberations of the Legislative Council;
(iv) persons who, in His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan’s opinion, have achieved distinction in the field of religion, management, any profession, business, trade, agriculture, cultural arts or community activities, or who are representatives of particular communities; and
(b) up to 15 representatives, the exact number of which shall be determined by His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan, from Brunei and Muara District, Belait District, Tutong District and Temburong District who shall be elected in accordance with the laws relating to elections in force in Brunei Darussalam. (Second Schedule, Provisions Relating to Legislative Council, Sec. 1) - MalayMajlis Mesyuarat Negara hendaklah mengandungi tidak lebih daripada 45 orang Ahli seperti berikut —

- EnglishThe House of Representatives consists of five hundred members, as follows:
1. three hundred and fifty members elected on a constituency basis;
2. one hundred and fifty members from party lists of political parties.
In the case where the office of a Member of the House of Representatives becomes vacant for any reason, and an election of a Member of the House of Representatives has not been held to fill the vacancy, or no declaration of name of a Member of the House of Representatives has been made to fill the vacancy, the House of Representatives shall consist of the existing members of the House.
In the case where there is any reason for the number of the Members of the House of Representatives by party list basis to be fewer than one hundred and fifty persons, the Members of the House of Representatives by party list basis shall consist of the existing members. ในกรณีมีเหตุใดๆ ที่ทําให้สมาชิกสภาผู้แทนราษฎรแบบบัญชีรายชื่อมีจํานวนไม่ถึงหนึ่งร้อยห้าสิบคน ให้สมาชิกสภาผู้แทนราษฎรแบบบัญชีรายชื่อประกอบด้วยสมาชิกเท่าที่มีอยู่ (มาตรา ๘๓)
