2. A citizen who is involuntarily without work and has no other means of support, shall have the right to social security, the scope and forms of which shall be specified by statute. The ordinary day of work is of eight hours or forty-eight hours weekly, at the longest. In the case of cumulative or atypical workdays, the average number of hours worked in the corresponding period may not exceed that maximum.
Workers have the right to weekly and annual remunerated rest. This benefit and its compensation are regulated by law or by agreement. (Art. 25) - Spanish
La jornada ordinaria de trabajo es de ocho horas diarias o cuarenta y ocho horas semanales, como máximo. En caso de jornadas acumulativas o atípicas, el promedio de horas trabajadas en el período correspondiente no puede superar dicho máximo.
