Status of the Constitution
- EnglishThe respect of the Constitution, compliance with the laws issued by Public Authority, abiding by public order and morality, observing national traditions and established customs is a duty of all who reside in the State of Qatar or enter its territory. (Art. 57)
- Arabicاحترام الدستور، والامتثال للقوانين الصّادرة عن السّلطة العامة، والالتزام بالنظام العام والآداب العامة، ومراعاة التقاليد الوطنية والأعراف المستقرّة، واجب على جميع من يسكن دولة قطر، أو يحل بإقليمها. (المادّة 57)
Status of the Constitution
- EnglishAll provisions embodied in laws and regulations in force upon the entering of this Constitution into force shall continue to be valid and effective unless they are amended in accordance with it. The enforcement of this Constitution shall not affect the provisions of the treaties and international agreements to which the State of Qatar is a party. (Art. 143)
- Arabicيبقى صحيحاً ونافذاً ما قررته القوانين واللوائح الصّادرة قبل العمل بهذا الدستور ما لم يجر تعديلها وفقاً لأحكامه. ولا يترتّب على العمل بالدستور الإخلال بأحكام المعاهدات والاتفاقيات الدولية التي تكون الدولة طرفاً فيها. (المادّة 143)
