The legislative power is exercised by a Parliament, composed of two Chambers, the National People’s Assembly and the Council of the Nation.
Each of the two Chambers of the Parliament elaborates and votes the law sovereignly. (Art. 114) - Arabic
يمارس السّلطة التّشريعيّة برلمـان يتكوّن من غرفتين، وهما المجلس الشّعبيّ الوطنيّ ومجلس الأمّة.
كل غرفة من غرفتي البرلمان لها السيادة في إعداد القانون والتّصويت عليه. (المادة 114) - French
Le pouvoir législatif est exercé par un Parlement, composé de deux chambres, l’Assemblée Populaire Nationale et le Conseil de la Nation.
Chacune des deux chambres du Parlement élabore et vote la loi souverainement. (Art. 114)

The modalities of the election of the Deputies and those concerning the election or the designation of the members of the Council of the Nation, the conditions of eligibility, the regime of ineligibilities and of incompatibilities, and the regime of parliamentary indemnities are determined by an organic law. (Art. 123)

تحدّد كيفيّات انتخاب النّواب وكيفيّات انتخاب أعضاء مجلس الأمّة أو تعيينهم، وشروط قابليّتهم للانتخاب، ونظام عدم قابليّتهم للانتخاب، وحالات التّنافي، ونظام التعويضات البرلمانية، بموجب قانون عضويّ. (المادة 123)
