Political Parties

    All citizens have the right to freely constitute associations, groups, societies and political parties in accordance with the texts in force.
    The associations, the groups, the societies and the political parties of which the activities are contrary to the public order as well as to the unity and to the cohesion of the Central African People[,] are prohibited. (Art. 14)

    Tous les citoyens ont le droit de constituer librement des associations, des groupements, des sociétés et des partis politiques conformément aux textes en vigueur.
    Les associations, les groupements, les sociétés et les partis politiques dont les activités sont contraires à l’ordre public ainsi qu’à l’unité et à la cohésion du peuple centrafricain sont prohibés. (Art. 14)
Political Parties

    The political parties or groups concur in the expression of suffrage, [and] to the animation of the political, economic and social life.
    They freely form and exercise their activities. They are required to promote and to respect the principles of democracy, of unity and of national sovereignty, of the Rights of Man, of the secularity and the republican form of the State, in accordance with the laws and regulations in force.
    It is prohibited to them to identify themselves with a race, an ethnicity, a gender, a religion, a sect, a language, a region or an armed group.
    The political parties must respect the principles of representation of gender and of regions specified by the law.
    A law determines the conditions of their formation, of their functioning, of their funding [financement] of their control and of their dissolution. (Art. 31)

    Les partis et groupements politiques concourent à l’expression du suffrage, à l’animation de la vie politique, économique et sociale.
    Ils se forment et exercent librement leurs activités. Ils sont tenus de promouvoir et de respecter les principes de la démocratie, de l’unité et de la souveraineté nationale, des droits de l’Homme, de la laïcité et forme républicain de l’Etat, conformément aux lois et règlements en vigueur.
    Il leur est interdit de s’identifier à une race, à une ethnie, à un sexe, à une religion, à une secte, à une langue, à une région ou à un groupe armé.
    Les partis politiques doivent respecter les principes de représentation du genre et des régions prévues par la loi.
    Une loi détermine les conditions de leur formation, de leur fonctionnement, de leur financement, de leur contrôle et de leur dissolution. (Art. 31)
