Constitutional Declaration of Libya 2011

    Human rights and basic freedoms shall be respected by the State. The State shall commit itself to joining international and regional declarations and charters which protect such rights and freedoms. The State shall endeavour to promulgate new charters which shall honour the human being as God's creation on Earth. (Art. 7)

    تصون الدّولة حقوق الإنسان وحرّياته الأساسية، وتسعى إلى الانضمام للإعلانات والمواثيق الدولية والإقليمية التي تحمي هذه الحقوق والحريات، وتعمل على إصدار مواثيق جديدة تكرم الإنسان كخليفة الله في الأرض. (المادّة 7)

Constitutional Declaration of Libya 2011 (English). We are aware 12 amendments to the present declaration were adopted. To date, no English consolidated version is available publicly. Translation efforts are underway. According to Art. 1: “… Arabic is its official language. …”
