Status of the Constitution
- EnglishThe treaties in which constitutional provisions are restricted or affected in any manner may not be ratified, unless the ratification is conducted with the corresponding reservations. The provisions of the treaty concerning which the reservations are made are not law of the Republic. (Art. 145)
- SpanishNo se podrán ratificar los tratados en que se restrinjan o afecten de alguna manera las disposiciones constitucionales, a menos que la ratificación se haga con las reservas correspondientes. Las disposiciones del tratado sobre las cuales se hagan las reservas no son ley de la República. (Art. 145)

Status of the Constitution
- EnglishThe Constitution proclaimed by Decree No. 6, of the date of 8 January of 1962, published in the Diario Oficial, No. 110, Vol. 194, dated the 16th of the same month and year, adopted by Constituent Decree No. 3, of the 26th of April of 1982, published in the Diario Oficial, No. 75, Vol. 275, of the same date, its regime of exceptions, as well as all those provisions which are found in conflict with any precept of this Constitution, are abrogated [derógarse]. (Art. 249)
