    C. This Constitution recognizes the Afro-Mexican peoples and communities, whatever their self-denomination may be, as part of the multicultural composition of the Nation. They will have in what is conducive [en lo conducente] the rights specified in the previous sections [apartados] of this Article5 in the terms that the laws establish, in order to guarantee their free determination, autonomy, development and social inclusion. (Art. 2)

    Esta Constitución reconoce a los pueblos y comunidades afromexicanas, cualquiera que sea su autodenominación, como parte de la composición pluricultural de la Nación. Tendrán en lo conducente los derechos señalados en los apartados anteriores del presente artículo en los términos que establezcan las leyes, a fin de garantizar su libre determinación, autonomía, desarrollo e inclusión social. (Art. 2)
