The Electoral Power is integrated by the Supreme Electoral Council and the other subordinate electoral organs [organismos]. (Art. 169)

Electoral Bodies

The Supreme Electoral Council has the following attributions:
1) To organize and to direct the elections, plebiscites or referendums that are convoked in accordance with that established in the Constitution and in the law.
2) To appoint the members of the other electoral organs [organismos] in accordance with the Electoral Law.
3) To establish [elaborar] the electoral calendar.
4) To apply the constitutional and legal provisions that refer to the electoral process.

El Consejo Supremo Electoral tiene las siguientes atribuciones:
1) Organizar y dirigir las elecciones, plebiscitos o referendos que se convoquen de acuerdo con lo establecido en la Constitución y en la ley.
2) Nombrar a los miembros de los demás organismos electorales de acuerdo con la Ley Electoral.
3) Elaborar el calendario electoral.
4) Aplicar las disposiciones constitucionales y legales referentes al proceso electoral.
