    The Executive Vice-President is a direct subordinate of and works closely with the President of the Republic in the latter’s capacity as Head of the National Executive.
    The Executive Vice-President must meet the same requirements prescribes for eligibility for the office of President of the Republic, and must not be related to the latter by either blood or marriage. (Art. 238)

    1. Be Venezuelan by birth, or by naturalization with 15 years of residence within the territory of Venezuela.
    2. Be over the age of 21 years.
    3. Have resided for four consecutive years in the organ from which he or she is elected, prior to such election. (Art. 188)

    Las condiciones para ser elegido o elegida diputado o diputada a la Asamblea Nacional son:
    1. Ser venezolano o venezolana por nacimiento o por naturalización con, por lo menos, quince años de residencia en territorio venezolano.
