Equality and Non-Discrimination
- English… The citizens of Afghanistan shall be recruited by the state on the basis of ability, without any discrimination, according to the provisions of the law. (Art. 50)

... اتباع افغانستان بر اساس اهلیت و بدون هیچگونه تبعیض و به موجب احكام قانون به خدمت دولت پذیرفته می شوند. (مادۀ ۵۰)
- Pashtoد افغانستان اتباع د اهليت له مخې او له هر ډول توپير څخه پرته د قانون له حكمونو سره سم د دولت خدمت ته منل كيږي. (۵۰ ماده)
Equality and Non-Discrimination
- EnglishThe state shall be obligated to create a prosperous and progressive society based on social justice, preservation of human dignity, protection of human rights, realization of democracy, attainment of national unity as well as equality between all peoples and tribes and balance development of all areas of the country. (Art. 6)
- Dariدولت به ایجاد یك جامعه مرفه و مترقی بر اساس عدالت اجتماعی، حفظ كرامت انسانی، حمایت حقوق بشر، تحقق دموكراسی، تأمین وحدت ملی، برابری بین همه اقوام و قبایل و انكشاف متوازن در همه مناطق كشور مكلف می باشد. (مادۀ ۶)
- Pashtoدولت، د انساني كرامت په ساتلو، بشري حقوقو د ملاتړ، د دموكراسۍ د تحقق، ملي وحدت د تأمين، د ټولو قومونو او قبايلو ترمنـځ د برابرۍ او د هېواد په ټولو سيمو كې د متوازنې پراختيا او ټولنيز عدالت پر بنسټ د يوې هوسا او پرمختللې ټولنې په جوړولو مكلف دى. (۶ ماده)
Equality and Non-Discrimination
- EnglishAny kind of discrimination and distinction between citizens of Afghanistan shall be forbidden. The citizens of Afghanistan, man and woman, have equal rights and duties before the law. (Art. 22)
- Dariهر نوع تبعیض و امتیاز بین اتباع افغانستان ممنوع است. اتباع افغانستان اعم از زن و مرد در برابر قانون دارای حقوق و وجایب مساوی می باشند. (مادۀ ۲۲)
- Pashtoد افغانستان د اتباعو تر منځ هر راز تبعيض او امتياز منع دى. د افغانستان اتباع ښځې او نارينه د قانون په وړاندې مساوي حقوق او وجايب لري. (۲۲ ماده)

Constitution of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan 2004 (English). According to Art. 16: “From amongst Pashto, Dari, Uzbeki, Turkmani, Baluchi, Pachaie, Nuristani, Pamiri, and other current languages in the country, Pashto and Dari shall be the official languages of the state. ...” This Constitution is currently suspended.
