Status of the Constitution

    All courts of civil, criminal and revenue jurisdiction, all authorities and all officers, judicial, executive and ministerial, throughout the territory of India, shall continue to exercise their respective functions subject to the provisions of this Constitution. (Art. 375)

    भारत के राज्यक्षेत्र में सर्वत्र सिविल, दांडिक और राजस्व अधिकारिता वाले सभी न्यायालय और सभी न्यायिक, कार्यपालक और अनुसचिवीय प्राधिकारी और अधिकारी अपने-अपने कृत्यों को, इस संविधान के उपबंधों के अधीन रहते हुए, करते रहेंगे। (अनुच्छेद 375)

Constitution of India 1949, as amended to 2019 (English). According to Art. 343: "(1) The official language of the Union shall be Hindi in Devanagari script. … (2) Notwithstanding anything in clause (1), for a period of fifteen years from the commencement of this Constitution, the English language shall continue to be used for all the official purposes of the Union for which it was being used immediately before such commencement …"
