2. Jordanians shall have the right to establish societies, unions and political parties provided their objective is lawful, their methods peaceful, and their by-laws not in violation of the provisions of the Constitution.
3. The law shall regulate the manner of the establishment of societies, unions and political parties and the control of their resources. (Art. 16) - Arabic

2. للأردنيين حقّ تأليف الجمعيات والنقابات والأحزاب السياسية على أن تكون غايتها مشروعة ووسائلها سلمية وذات نظم لا تخالف أحكام الدستور.
3. ينظم القانون طريقة تأليف الجمعيات والنقابات والأحزاب السياسية ومراقبة مواردها. (المادّة 16)

Constitution of The Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan 1952, as amended to 2016 (English). We are aware amendments to the present constitution were adopted in 2022. To date, no English consolidated version is available publicly. Translation efforts are underway. According to Art. 2: “Islam is the religion of the State and Arabic is its official language.”
