The King appoints the Prime Minister, dismisses him and accepts his resignation, and appoints the Ministers, dismisses them and accepts their resignation upon the recommendation of the Prime Minister. (Art. 35)

الملك يعين رئيس الوزراء ويقيله ويقبل إستقالته ويعين الوزراء ويقيلهم ويقبل إستقالتهم بناء على تنسيب رئيس الوزراء. (المادّة 35)

The Council of Ministers shall consist of the Prime Minister, as Head, and of a number of ministers pursuant to the need and public interest. (Art. 41)

يؤلف مجلس الوزراء من رئيس الوزراء رئيساً ومن عدد من الوزراء حسب الحاجة والمصلحة العامة. (المادّة 41)

Constitution of The Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan 1952, as amended to 2016 (English). We are aware amendments to the present constitution were adopted in 2022. To date, no English consolidated version is available publicly. Translation efforts are underway. According to Art. 2: “Islam is the religion of the State and Arabic is its official language.”
