Political Rights and Association

    All Lebanese are equal before the law. They equally enjoy civil and political rights, and assume obligations and public duties without any distinction among them. (Art. 7)

    كل اللبنانيين سواء لدى القانون وهم يتمتعون بالسواء بالحقوق المدنية والسياسية ويتحملون الفرائض والواجبات العامة دونما تمييز بينهم. (المادّة 7)

Political Rights and Association

    The freedom of opinion, expression through speech and writing, the freedom of the press, the freedom of assembly, and the freedom of association, are all guaranteed within the scope of the law. (Art. 13)

    حرية إبداء الرأي قولاً وكتابة وحرية الطّباعة وحرّية الاجتماع وحرّية تكوين الجمعيات كلّها مكفولة ضمن دائرة القانون. (المادّة 13)

    Every Lebanese citizen, twenty-one years old, has a right to be an elector, pending meeting the requirements prescribed by the Electoral Law. (Art. 21)

    لكلّ وطنيّ لبنانيّ بلغ من العمر إحدى وعشرين سنة كاملة الحقّ في أن يكون ناخباً على أن تتوفّر فيه الشّروط المطلوبة بمقتضى قانون الانتخاب. (المادّة 21)
