    The State Great Khural of Mongolia is the highest organ of the State power, and the legislative power shall be vested solely in the State Great Khural. (Art. 20)

    1. The State Great Khural shall have one chamber and consist of 126 members. The election of the State Great Khural shall be conducted by a mixed electoral system. 78 members of the State Great Khural shall be elected by majority vote, and 48 members shall be elected by proportional representation.3
    2. The members of the State Great Khural shall be elected by citizens eligible to vote in the election, on the basis of universal, free, direct suffrage by secret ballot for a term of four years.
    3. Citizens of Mongolia who have reached the age of twenty-five years and are eligible to vote in the elections shall be elected to the State Great Khural.
    4. The election procedure of the State Great Khural shall be determined by law. It is prohibited to approve and amend the Law on the Election of the State Great Khural within one year prior to the regular election of the Parliament/State Great Khural. (Art. 21)

    1. Улсын Их Хурал нэг танхимтай, нэг зуун хорин зургаан гишүүнтэй байна. Улсын Их Хурлын сонгуулийг сонгуулийн холимог тогтолцоогоор явуулна. Улсын Их Хурлын далан найман гишүүнийг олныг төлөөлөх, дөчин найман гишүүнийг хувь тэнцүүлэн төлөөлөх аргаар сонгоно.
    2. Улсын Их Хурлын гишүүнийг Монгол Улсын сонгуулийн эрх бүхий иргэд нийтээрээ, чөлөөтэй, шууд сонгох эрхийн үндсэн дээр саналаа нууцаар гаргаж, дөрвөн жилийн хугацаагаар сонгоно.
    3. Улсын Их Хурлын гишүүнээр Монгол Улсын хорин таван нас хүрсэн, сонгуулийн эрх бүхий иргэнийг сонгоно.
    4. Улсын Их Хурлын сонгуулийн журмыг хуулиар тогтооно. Улсын Их Хурлын ээлжит сонгууль явуулахын өмнөх нэг жилийн дотор Улсын Их Хурлын сонгуулийн тухай хууль батлах, түүнд нэмэлт, өөрчлөлт оруулахыг хориглоно. (Хорин нэгдүгээр зүйл)
