If the Sultan appoints a prime minister, his competences and authorities shall be specified in the decree appointing him. (Art. 55)

إذا عين السلطان رئيسا لمجلس الوزراء حددت اختصاصاته وصلاحياته في مرسوم تعيينه. (المادّة ٥٥)

Those appointed prime minister, deputy prime minister, or minister shall meet the following conditions:
– Be of Omani nationality by origin.
– Be at least thirty Gregorian years of age. (Art. 56) - Arabic
يشترط فيمن يعين رئيسا لمجلس الوزراء أو نائبا له أو وزيرا الآتي:
– أن يكون عماني الجنسية بصفة أصلية.
– ألا تقل سنه عن ثلاثين سنة ميلادية. (المادّة ٥٦)
